Jim Thorpe's Olde Time Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting

Bells are ringing and snow is in the air! Come one and all on November 30, 2012 at 6:00pm. The festivities begin with our Christmas Parade. Line the streets and view Christmas Past, Present and Future with participants in each category. Parade begins at Immaculate Conception Church on West Broadway, and ends at Josiah White Park at the train station.

This year the parade will be divided into 3 sections following Dickens "Christmas Carol" The first section will be Christmas Past, with the Live Nativity, followed by the angelic choir. Then the Dickens Characters and a horse drawn carriage. The second section will be Christmas Present. Here will be our Grand Marshall, the Jim Thorpe Marching Band and all of our sponsors. The third section is Christmas Future. Our youth groups and organization will delight you with their dance numbers and caroling. Finally, Here comes Santa! The Tree lighting ceremony will follow the parade at 7pm in the park

Pet Parade

Fee in $5 for the first pet, and $2 for each additional pet.

Our judges will be on the steps of the Opera house for the walk on the pet carpet. Strut your stuff in a Christmas Costume Parade and take home one of our many prizes.
